Congratulations to Berkeley Prep KZ on regaining the number one slot in the newest coaches poll. They rise to #1 after finishing as finalists at the Barkley Forum at Emory. Montgomery Bell PC finished as second, after winning the Pace Round Robin this past month. Walter Payton WM charged up the standings to #3 after winning the Barkley Forum, going undefeated in 12 debates. Lawerence Free States MR finished as fourth, and Gunn SV rounded out the top 5.
Congratulations to Decatur KL for making their debut on the coaches poll, after an impressive third-place finish at the Pace Round Robin.
****A fun fact for this poll is that the difference between #1 and #2 was a single ranking on a single ballot. That’s the closest difference between #1 and #2 that has happened since the poll started in 2013.
Also, five different teams have two teams in the top 25 (Berkeley Prep, GBN, MBA, Little Rock, and LASA)
