Greenhill’s Sam Grimsley and Christopher Eckert after their final round victory

Congratulations to Greenhill’s Sam Grimsley and Christory Eckert on winning  the 2017 Heart of Texas, hosted by the St. Mark’s school.   The tournament once again hosted many of the great teams from accross the country, and a lot of top competition.  Greenhill GE defeated Woodward’s Arjun Srinvasan and  Alanna Pearson on a 2-1 decision in the final round.  The round was decided over T – Courts.

The other two semifinalist teams were Montgomery Bell Academy’s Jablonski and Barton and Habermann and Glen.  The other quarterfinalist teams were Niles West’s Glancy and Salehitezangi, Glenbrook South’s Goldberg and Scott, Carrollton School of Sacred Heart’s Garcia-Mendoza and Bolous, and Greenhill’s Khambati & Wegener.

The tournament’s top speaker was MBA’s Aden Barton, followed by Julian Habermann, Atticus Glen, Niles West’s Nasim Salehitezangi, and Ben Jablonski rounded out the top five.  A full speaker award list is pasted below, as well as a list of the TOC bid winners.

Congratulations to all teams who went and competed, and especially Greenhill EG on a big tournament win.
